  83. Unfortunately the defacing of the pictograph you see above is not an isolated incident. Modern man with  his high powered rifle has seen fit to use many, many of the rock writings for target practice.
  84.    It is very sad to see what modern man has done to our American heritage.

  88.    This is a pictograph found in a cave in Nine Mile Canyon near Price, Utah.
  89.    It is a beautiful red color and is well preserved. However, you can see that modern man has destroyed it with the message that was painted over the top of it.
  90.    The pictograph is on BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. This is public land maintained by BLM. This land belongs to all of us to enjoy and preserve.
  91.    Some years ago, a rancher in the area painted the sign you see over the pictograph. He had no right to do it, as the cave is not on his property, but on public land.
